Ronn and I have been on a winning streak both personally and professionally in this past week. Starting with the Paul Newman event “Winning the race for charity” that we attended with Peter Beckett and Eden Ayers. Peter and Ronn performed at the Roosevelt Hotel along with members of “Little River Band” and “Toto.” Then we took off to Las Vegas with Peter and Eden to attend a private birthday party and got to see Winsor Harmon.

It was a rare weekend for us to reflect and celebrate winning some personal issues that we have been battling for quite some time, as well as, winning that Emmy nomination as producers on our amazing series, “The Bay.” We were in such gratitude and on a natural high just being with friends and enjoying the awesome music Peter and Ronn participated in along with other great artists, such as Jeff “Skunk” Baxter of the “Doobie Brothers” and “Steely Dan.”

When we arrived home it was time to celebrate with parties that were leading up to the Emmys. I was thrilled to see our long time Aussie friend, Fiona Horne and spend some quality time with her, while Ronn went to the festivities for Pop TV and got to see alot of his fellow soap stars. Since “The Bay” was put in the category of “New Approaches” and held with the creative Emmys on Friday, it was not televised. Apparently, Pop TV which is the former TV Guide network only wanted shows that were broadcast on television on the actual Emmys this year. We didn’t think that was fair considering it wasn’t that way last year, but nevertheless, it’s the same Emmy! Turns out “The Bay” beat out shows from Hulu and Youtube  and took home that Emmy!

We couldn’t be more than thrilled for this amazing cast and crew! It is more than well deserved and TV Guide said, “The Bay blurred the lines between prime time and daytime television.” So I predict “The Bay” could find a home soon on primetime television and maybe be the first show to win both a daytime and primetime Emmy in the coming years.

Ronn and I chose not to attend the awards and instead see John McCook’s daughter Molly’s show, “Cruel Intentions the Musical.” It was an awesome musical and we got to see Katherine Kelly Lang, John McCook, Scott Clifton and Kim Matula there. By the time we arrived home to the news that we were now Emmy winning producers, it made our evening even more special.

We then attended the Emmy gifting suite and ran into more B&B soap stars we hadn’t seen in quite a while such as, Jacob Young and Ali Mills. Ronn and I will both get our Emmy in the mail soon and look forward to shooting the new season of “The Bay” next month!

Ronn and I attended “The Bold and Beautiful’s” 26th anniversary party held at The Standard Hotel in Downtown LA. It was in a ping pong sports bar and enticed alot of the cast to challenge each other in ping pong. The party seemed like a high school reunion for us due to the fact that we hadn’t seen the cast in crew for several months. Everyone seemed to miss Ronn and he of coursed missed everyone, so there were constant pictures and hugs throughout the night, so much so that Ronn didn’t even get a chance to eat anything and was starving by the time we drove home. Can we say “In and Out” burger?

It was fun to hang and see friends like Winsor Harmon, Katherine Kelly Lang, Scott Clifton, Jacqueline McInnes Wood and so many crew members that Ronn considers family. So funny how fast time flies as it’s now been over six months since Ronn left the show. A funny video was made spoofing B&B with Mrs. Lee Bell as the star with her little dog, “Joy.” Here’s to wishing “The Bold and The Beautiful” many more years of success and many more parties!

The Groom & Dev

There was a mist in the air over the weekend. One that smelled of rain and gave us a breeziness that said fall was here finally. At least that’s what we thought? Ronn and I anxiously prepared for our love filled weekend.

We were invited to Scott Clifton’s wedding, which promised less drama than one of Liam Spencer’s weddings. And then there was the annual charity event, “The Love Ride.”

But first we kicked off our weekend with Scott and his bride Nicole’s outdoor setting nestled in the woods with a babbling water fall. They recited their reasons why their love was perfect underneath a gigantic tree and tea lights. Their vows were filled with humor and adoration that told us all they were meant to be in so many ways.

We felt honored to be a part of it and it was lovely to see some of B&B’s cast such as, John McCook, Jacquline MacInnes Wood, Kim Matula, Don Diamont and Adam Gregory.  Scott and Nicole were in true wedding bliss as we dined on Prime Rib and Salmon in the indoor/outdoor setting.

I chatted most of the evening with Jackie aka Steffy who will be an upcoming guest on Ronn’s Garage. That girl is always amazing me and don’t let the good looks fool ya, she’s one smart cookie! Jackie loves, “Devin’s Kickass Cajun Seasoning” and can’t wait to cook something Cajun with me since one of her beaus is from Baton Rouge!

Ronn and I had to get up early the next day for the annual, “Love Ride” and hop on his Harley hoping it wouldn’t rain. It seems there is this love/hate thing for rain. We wish for it in southern California, but only when we’re not driving in it, especially on a motorcycle! Lucky for us it was a very pleasant ride to the Harley dealership in Glendale where the ride takes place.

More hunky B&B cast members were on hand like, Winsor Harmon, Lorenzo Lamas, and Antonio Sabato Jr all ready to ride. They joined Jay Leno onstage to kick off the event before a massive crowd as Lorenzo sang the Star Spangled Banner.

Our pals Wally and Lori Crowder joined us as hundreds of bikes started their journey to the park where the event took place. The sun started to shine as we went back to typical sunny southern California weather and our hopes for fall fell back into a brief faded memory. But the love that filled our weekend will be memories that will last forever.[wpvideo mTTQYzOJ]

Valentine’s Day is here and it’s safe to say love is in the air. We saw it firsthand when we attendedthe engagement party of Sean Kanan and his bride to be, Michelle Vega. Sean plays Deacon Sharpe on “The Young and The Restless” and use to play that character on “The Bold and The Beautiful” for years before. It was nice to see Winsor Harmon, Jennifer Finnigan and Kim Matula there to celebrate the lovebirds. We watched a funny rap video that Sean did with Ronn and Josh Morrow called, “I’m A Soap Star.” I think I may have had a bit too much fun because I’m now down for the count with a cold, so I’m resting and trying to get better before Valentine’s day is here. So here’s to all you lovebirds wishing you a happy Valentine’s Day!

walking the aisleWords cannot describe our wedding yesterday. It was truly perfection and we couldn’t have been happier. All my planning came together and God blessed us with beautiful weather in spite of the past few days of heat and fires.wedding party There was laughter, lots of it and tears, moments of true harmony and beautiful music that the groom himself bestowed upon his bride.Bridesmaids ring The bridesmaids were absolutely breathtakingly beautiful and the groomsmen truly the most handsome bunch ever to wear a tuxedo. Our guests dined, danced and toasted us with lots of love and affection. We were not nervous at all and throughly enjoyed every moment of the day, from getting ready with the bridal party, to taking photos and laughing all night long. I feel so blessed and blissful today and can’t wait to see the photos and video. We soaked in every moment of the day and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. There was a wedding brunch at home with Ronn’s brother and cousins from Australia who are visiting and we are still eating wedding cakewedding cake and drinking champagne today, not wanting the feeling to end. I told Ronn I want our marriage to be like this every day of our lives and if it ever gets off course, we will try extra hard to get right back on it, because it was simply a dream come true for me to have my fairy tale come true.
