For the first time Ronn and I watched almost all of the major Oscar nominated movies and our favorite was “The Decendants.” I was surprised it didn’t take home best picture, however we did enjoy “The Artist” very much too. We haven’t seen “Hugo” yet, so that is a must on our list. I thought “Iron Lady” was an okay movie, but loved Meryl Streep’s performance and thought she should indeed win best actress. We loved “The Help” and Octavia Spencer did steal that movie and I also thought she was a sure thing for Best supporting actress.
All in all, Billy Crystal was great as a host, he always is.
I wasn’t floored by any of the dresses on the red carpet, although Angelina Jolie looked great, she looked rather thin and what was up with the leg thing? Seems she was trying too hard, which in my opinion a more subdued approach is always best. I just think Natalie Portman is adorable and although I love Emma Stone, I hated her dress. We spent our Oscar night at the Playboy mansion, which is always fun because it’s like family there. We have so many terrific friends to catch up with there and the food is always terrific. Think next year we may just have our own Oscar bash!

Feeling Like Fall
Ronn and I had fun attending PLAYER drummer, Craig Pilo’s wedding reception to his adorable Brazilian bride, Angela.
They have been married a year and finally got around to a wedding reception. Speaking of weddings, you guys have to view this funny video that Craig did on a Wedding Band Drummer You guys will laugh your asses off!
As always it was awesome to hang out with Spacemonk aka Johnny English. The food was amazing and catered by Pierre’s Catering who also owns Planet Sushi. I fell in love with Pierre and his creative style of presenting appetizers that I may have him present my gumbo for our next jam party. In addition to Craig wedding reception, Ronn and I were invited by stunt coordinator,
Wally Crowder to attend the Stuntwoman’s Awards. I got to meet
Vivica Fox whom I found, charming and funny. I’ve always admired her acting and loved her in “Kill Bill.” Ronn was a presenter along with Katherine Kelly Lang who joined us at the luncheon. So now we are getting ready for cooler days as fall and Halloween are just around the corner. I think most of you know by now that Ronn is always his happiest playing music, so I’d like to plan a small acoustic jam party as soon as he has a break from B&B. Seems this time of the year is always so full because B&B does alot of holiday gatherings on camera, which entails long days because the whole cast is usually included. Poor Ronn had to sleep in his dressing room one long night because of the drive and another early call the next day. He was just exhausted and rightfully so.These long hours of him puts a damper on me nailing him down to autograph items for Ebay, give me photos to blog or just have a date night with my hubby. So having fun and rare moments with dear friends, family or just each other is totally relished and appreciated. So in appreciation, We want to thank our friend Robin Krasny for the is awesome video of PLAYER in Vero Beach recently. We had so much fun there and it shows when you watch this video. Robin really took care of us and we are grateful to have this fun video to share with you! Now that the holidays are just around the corner. I have our wonderful DevRonn fanclub president Gea helping me with Ebay items for you guys just in time for Christmas! She has been a great help to me in posting items from Ronn and me personalized to your desire. I’m thinking of parting with my computer, Playboy collectibles, clothing, shoes and jewelry. I’m sure I’ll eventually get Ronn to clean out his closet and give you a scarf or underwear, just kidding! He may give you one of his precious jackets, pillow cases, posters, T-shirts or a pair of his shoes or maybe his ipad? Whatever I get out of him, it’s yours! Check out Ronn\’s Ebay or Devin\’s Ebay stores for items that are now posted. Auction items are coming soon!
CIMA Awards
Ronn and I participated in the CIMA awards, which stands for Catholics in the Media Association. It pays tribute to movies and television shows that promote positive programming and family values.
“The Bold and The Beautiful” won an award for their homeless storyline. The television series, “Blue Bloods” also won and the movie “Conviction.” There was a full Mass in which Ronn spoke and beautiful choir. A wonderful lunch was served and
Susan Flannery presented the award to Brad Bell. This was the 18th annual celebration and it was an honor to be a part of it.
DGA Awards
Ronn and I attended the 75th annual DGA awards because B&B’s director Michael Stitch was up an award from the Homeless storyline. We’ve attended these awards before, but it was the first time in this location, which was bigger and much nicer. There was a open bar the whole night and food was delicious. I got really excited to learn that my favorite director Clint Eastwood would be there. I really wanted Ronn to meet him because personally I think Clint would see himself in Ronn.
Carl Reiner who is 88 years old was the host of the evening as he has been for 20+ years now. We especially enjoyed the history of DGA that was told during the ceremony. Steven Spielberg, James Cameron and Natalie Portman were also in attendance. I was thrilled to briefly meet Clint Eastwood after the show, but he was in a hurry to get home and there wasn’t much time to chat. While we were waiting for our limo, I got to meet
Andrew Garfield from “Social Network.” Unfortunately, B&B did not win the award, although they should have in my opinion. I was really pleased that “The King’s Speech” took the top honors for Best Director at the end of the night. We look forward to attending the DGAs again next year!
The New Face of Television
Is it just me, or did the Emmys seem more like a mini version of the Oscars? I thought television would recognize television stars and I saw more movie stars being recognized. Stars such as, Susan Serandon, Al Pacino and Dennis Quaid who were big movie stars that didn’t do television at one time, weren’t they? Also, cable was considered a step below prime time television and now the most recognized shows are on cable. HBO rules television with shows like Entourage and True Blood. Seems there were very few real television stars being recognized at this year’s Emmys. Reality television now has it’s own catagory also, so just about anybody can be recognized on television today. No longer is television strictly for television stars. It’s sort of annoying to watch these people pat themselves on the back for what is really a bunch of crap. It’s also annoying that people who once turned their noses at television and only did movies are now the ones being recognized on television. I think the Emmys should recognize television people period and the Oscars should recognize movie people period. Also, if television is going to recognize reality they should stop dividing daytime actors from night time actors because it’s a joke now. Daytime actors should be more respected than reality people, they work much harder and it makes me angry to see this division. Wake up Hollywood because it doesn’t make sense anymore! The Internet has changed the way we view things now and soon enough your computer will be your television set, it already is becoming so. The stupid division of Daytime Emmy and Night time Emmy division will soon be history. Hollywood needs to stop recognizing movie stars in television because those people are not television stars to begin with. The Emmys were boring to me and I think in general television is boring. There are very few shows that are worth watching period. If the Emmys is the best of television, then I feel sorry for television right now. Personally HBO does have the best programming, but then again it’s not television, it’s HBO right?
The Daytime Emmys
Vegas marked the first time the Daytime Emmys was held there and I don’t think it will be the last. The Hilton hotel hosted the event with a bevy of stars and fans. Ronn presented a special part of the CBS presentation of “Feed the Children”, a charity that helps American homeless families and Veterans. We visited the LA mission where Ronn interviewed a family with 5 little girls all living in one room. The father lost his job over a year ago, along with their home and all their belongings. Their 7 month old baby girl was born in the shelter, it was heartbreaking to see this type of homelessness is a realty in our country and we want to do all we can to help! The production of the Daytime Emmys was different, moved a lot quicker and was more entertaining. A tribute to Dick Clark brought a tear to everyone’s eyes. I met Dick Clark years ago and he told me he voted for me in the finals on Star Search and PLAYER was on American Bandstand with their hit song, “Baby Come Back” in 1978, so Dick is very special to us. We were doing the twist with Chubby Checker and The Bold and The Beautiful won their second “Best Drama” award! I predicted to Brad Bell who was sitting right next to us that he would win again and to get that speech ready at the beginning of the show. Drew Tyler Bell won along with the B&B writing team, so it was a Bell night and a much deserved one. The after parties were amazing.
We toured the remodeled ELVIS suite which was 16,000 sq ft and met Marie Osmond, Susan Lucci and Tony Orlando. Then we headed to the B &B/ Y & R bash at the Wynn hotel’s Tryst club. It was the coolest place and everyone danced their asses off all night long! Needless to say, Ronn and I were completely exhausted and got only a couple hours sleep. We believe the Daytime Emmys should be combined with the Prime time Emmys now. Because of the Internet, the networks need to realize how dumb it is to separate the two and the fans love to see all the stars that have been a part of their lives for decades. It’s time for them to wake up to the 21st century and get with the program here. Perhaps from this year’s broadcast they will finally know how loyal and devoted the daytime fans are and how necessary it is to to combine the two Emmys. Here are some highlights from the show.
Viva Las Vegas
Ronn and I have been having a blast and have found Vegas to be an adult playground. The last time we were here was about six years ago, so being back for my birthday and the Daytime Emmys made it quite special this trip. Our stay at the beautiful Venetian hotel was amazing and we were in awe of both Cirque Du Soleil shows, LOVE and ELVIS!! Highly recommend seeing both. Today we head over to the Hilton to celebrate the first live broadcast of the Daytime Emmys on CBS tonight, will blog later about that. Here are a few pics of our trip so far.
B&B in The Guinness Book of World Records!
Executive Producer and Head Writer Bradley P. Bell, with Co-Creator Lee Phillip Bell and the Cast of The Bold and the Beautiful, accepting the Guinness World Records certification for “Most Popular Daytime TV Soap, this marks another great moment for the world renowned series.
Los Angeles, CA… Guinness World Records® named THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL “Most Popular Daytime TV Soap – Current.” A Guinness World Records® Adjudicator presented Emmy® Award-winning Executive Producer and Head Writer, Bradley P. Bell, and the Cast, with the certification of this coveted distinction on Stage 31 of CBS Television City, where the series has taped since its inception in March, 1987.
THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL’s international ratings success is unequaled in its genre. The series can be viewed on more than 45 broadcasters in over 110 countries. In the 66 countries and territories where there are scientific people-meter systems in place to measure television viewing audiences, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL garnered 24.5 million viewers in 2008—a higher figure than any other telenovela or soap opera.
THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL was the recipient of another award based on worldwide ratings consecutively during the years of 2006 through 2009: the Golden Nymph for the Monte Carlo TV Festival’s TV Audience Award. The series was nominated on May 4, 2010, for the same award, and the winner will be revealed on June 10th, in Monaco.
June 1 through 7, 2010, the series’ steamy summer storyline features performances by Latin Recording Artist, Daddy Yankee, whose new album, “Mundial,” is currently #1 on Billboard Magazine’s Latin Artist Album chart, and Tony Okungbowa, the DJ from The Ellen Show. In these episodes, what starts out as a high school girl’s fabulous graduation party turns dark, as the pulsating rhythms entice certain characters to let down their guard, and subsequently fall into the depths of uncharted territory. THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL is the first and only U.S. English language daytime drama to simulcast in Spanish utilizing SAP (Secondary Audio Program) technology.
The new Guinness World Record comes on the heels of 11 Daytime Emmy® nominations, which the series received last week, including Outstanding Drama Series, Writing, and Directing. These nominations come for episodes that feature an all-female cast, headed by former “Golden Girl,” Betty White, which deal with the sensitive subject of dying with dignity. Winners will be announced live at the Daytime Entertainment Emmy® Awards, Sunday June 27, 2010. THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL was the recipient of the Daytime Emmy® Award for “Outstanding Drama Series” at the 2009 awards gala for the first time in its 23-year history.
We say Congratulations to a wonderful show and all the amazing people who work on it!

Prince Albert’s Dinner Party
Ronn and I attended a dinner given by Prince Albert of Monaco at the Beverly Hills Hotel last night. It was a wonderful night filled with great sushi, cocktails and various appetizers. Many of Ronn’s cast mates were there, as well as, key producers and various people in the entertainment industry. Prince Albert is preparing for Monaco’s 50th anniversary next year of the “Golden Nymph” awards and has invited alot of Hollywood to attend, as well as, film there in that beautiful country. Ronn is excited about the possibility of performing at next year’s event and Prince Albert seemed thrilled at the prospect of it. Since B&B is the most watched show in the world and received that award this year for it, we are anticipating an exciting year next Summer at the 50th anniversary party. Israel and Dubai also expressed interest in Ronn making appearances in their countries, so we are very excited about all of this. Seems like 2010 is going to a traveling year for the Moss family, hummm maybe we can have a honeymoon in each country???

The Bold and The Beautiful finally wins Best Drama!
It was the best Daytime Emmy show ever with an awesome opening performance that
Vanessa Williams did featuring Ronn, which was very funny. It was so hot that we skipped the red carpet to stay cool enough for Ronn to present the Best Game show. He was wearing a velour Armani suit that was made for him, so we just couldn’t take the heat for the red carpet, sorry. I had a strong feeling they would win, “Best Drama” finally and it was so deserved. They have been overlooked so many years for this and I told
Brad Bell who was sitting right behind us that they would win. I even made a bet with Ronn, so now he believes I’m psychic, hahaha. It was an awesome moment for them to share and I was very happy for them. The after party was such a madhouse that we couldn’t even get a drink and so we headed over the the Eddison, which was so beautiful and elegant for a private after party just for us. The food was amazing and the drinks were flowing. Ronn and I really enjoyed the evening, but had to get home to the girls who had to evacuate their mom’s house due to the fires. It’s the forth time this past year that they’ve gone through this! Today I’m finalizing music for our wedding and spending the day with Ronn and the girls. I hope everyone is staying cool from this heat.
